A millefleur pillow in the medieval tradition, printed on a soft cushion cover.

An armored knight kneels in a blazing field of golden roses, foxglove, and blue cornflower on a deep black ground. A raven steps through the blooms; two golden hounds rest at his feet. No horizon, no sky — the flowers run to every edge, the way the old Flemish weavers built a world with no way out of it.

The armor catches the same gold as the field, so the figure smoulders out of the flowers rather than sitting on top of them.

This millefleur pillow is a new design in an old language — not a reproduction, not a scan of an antique.
