The Heron of the Dotted Shell

Description

Dotted shell heron art: A white heron with a fine needle bill stands beside a dotted nautilus, a spill of orange and teal feathers at its feet.

Dotted shell heron art from Avian Relics

The Heron of the Dotted Shell is part of Avian Relics, a Decorative Studios collection of birds fused with nautilus shells, spirals, gears and pearls, standing in still reflective water in a palette of teal, jade and coral. Feathers turn into spiral shells and brass clockwork, and every bird is doubled in the mirror of the water below it.

About The Heron of the Dotted Shell

A white heron with a fine needle bill stands beside a dotted nautilus, a spill of orange and teal feathers at its feet. The spiral shell forms and the glassy teal water are the signature of this collection. Every detail is rendered in a landscape frame, so the whole composition reads clearly whether you print it large or view it on a screen.
