The Cave of the Eye

Description

Cave of the eye art: A giant eye sits in the middle of a cream-colored cave of webbed arches, with a person reclining on cushions below.

Cave of the eye art from Brass Reliquary

The Cave of the Eye is part of Brass Reliquary, a Decorative Studios collection of surreal brass-and-copper creatures, cyborg portraits and clockwork sculptures in a warm golden palette. Gears, goggles, gas masks, glass domes and tiny cities grow out of faces and bodies, so every piece feels like a strange relic from an invented world.

About The Cave of the Eye

A giant eye sits in the middle of a cream-colored cave of webbed arches, with a person reclining on cushions below. The brass and copper surfaces, the surreal mechanical details and the golden light are the signature of this collection. Every detail is rendered in a portrait frame, so the whole composition reads clearly whether you print it large or view it on a screen.
