The Cardinal in the Checkerboard

Description

Checkerboard cardinal art: A close view of a cardinal’s orange beak and teal face on a diagonal grid of red, teal and cream squares, with red maple leaves.

Checkerboard cardinal art from Wings of the Amber Canopy

The Cardinal in the Checkerboard is part of Wings of the Amber Canopy, a Decorative Studios collection of birds made from stained glass and mosaic tiles, each one posed in profile against a soft blur of warm blossoms. Jewel-toned tiles, glowing amber light and patterned feathers give every bird the look of a window caught in sunlight.

About The Cardinal in the Checkerboard

A close view of a cardinal’s orange beak and teal face on a diagonal grid of red, teal and cream squares, with red maple leaves. The mosaic tile texture and the warm amber glow are the signature of this collection. Every detail is rendered in a portrait frame, so the whole composition reads clearly whether you print it large or view it on a screen.
