The Shell Backed Ibis

Description

Shell backed ibis art: An ibis with a curved bill carries a huge cream spiral shell on its back, a green wave flowing beneath.

Shell backed ibis art from Avian Relics

The Shell Backed Ibis is part of Avian Relics, a Decorative Studios collection of birds fused with nautilus shells, spirals, gears and pearls, standing in still reflective water in a palette of teal, jade and coral. Feathers turn into spiral shells and brass clockwork, and every bird is doubled in the mirror of the water below it.

About The Shell Backed Ibis

An ibis with a curved bill carries a huge cream spiral shell on its back, a green wave flowing beneath. The spiral shell forms and the glassy teal water are the signature of this collection. Every detail is rendered in a landscape frame, so the whole composition reads clearly whether you print it large or view it on a screen.
