An armored knight kneels in a millefleurs field — sword planted, head bowed — surrounded by a dense field of ivory and gold wildflowers on deep indigo. A raven watches from the blooms. Two hounds rest at his side. No horizon, no sky: flowers edge to edge, the way the old verdure weavers built a world with no way out of it.

The armor dissolves into the flowered field the way it does in the woven originals, so the figure emerges as you look rather than sitting on top of the pattern.
