The Rooted Phoenix

Description

Rooted phoenix art: A winged figure with teal and pink feathers rises from a mass of dark roots, orange light ribbons looping around her.

Rooted phoenix art from Ascendant Host

The Rooted Phoenix is part of Ascendant Host, a Decorative Studios collection of winged figures and feathered dancers in gowns of light and silk, set in dark halls and open skies in teal, copper and gold. Wings, veils and long trains spread across the frame in streaming lines of light, with figures that range from tiny silhouettes to carved statues and dancers in full motion.

About The Rooted Phoenix

A winged figure with teal and pink feathers rises from a mass of dark roots, orange light ribbons looping around her. The sweeping wings and the glow of teal, copper and gold against the dark are the signature of this collection. Every detail is rendered in a landscape frame, so the whole composition reads clearly whether you print it large or view it on a screen.

Where The Rooted Phoenix Works

It suits a bedroom or reading nook, where its detail rewards a slow look from across the room and again up close.
