The Striped Grub

Description

Striped grub art: A fat, striped creature with a huge dark eye and fine, sharp fins lies on a golden surface, a long thin spike at its nose.

Striped grub art from Brass Reliquary

The Striped Grub is part of Brass Reliquary, a Decorative Studios collection of surreal brass-and-copper creatures, cyborg portraits and clockwork sculptures in a warm golden palette. Gears, goggles, gas masks, glass domes and tiny cities grow out of faces and bodies, so every piece feels like a strange relic from an invented world.

About The Striped Grub

A fat, striped creature with a huge dark eye and fine, sharp fins lies on a golden surface, a long thin spike at its nose. The brass and copper surfaces, the surreal mechanical details and the golden light are the signature of this collection. Every detail is rendered in a portrait frame, so the whole composition reads clearly whether you print it large or view it on a screen.

Where The Striped Grub Works

Hang it in a living room where the colors can pick up the lamps and furniture around it, or group it with other pieces from the same collection for a gallery wall.
